Tank and Barrel Heating Applications
Condensation and humidity can cause many problems, especially in silos, tanks or barrels, such as deterioration of the structures of materials, adhesion to the container in which it is located, or, most dangerously, damage the environment by producing waste gas. In order to prevent these problems, storing these chemicals under their normal conditions is very important both for the environment and for companies.
Tank and barrel heating applications are systems used to heat the outer surfaces of silos, tanks and barrels and ensure that the chemicals in them maintain their own values. The temperature of the products is maintained with tank and barrel heating applications used especially in industrial facilities and factories. Products are protected against freezing. In addition, during the application, the condition of the location of the tanks and barrels, i.e. the position of the wind and sun, is applied and energy saving is achieved.
How Do Tank and Barrel Heating Applications Work?
Tank and barrel heating applications can be moving heating systems or fixed systems. Moving systems are jacket type heating systems. Fixed systems are systems mounted on fixed barrels or tanks. It is preferred in terms of ease of installation and maintenance requirements compared to classical heating systems.
Heating cables may vary depending on the structure of the tank or barrel to be applied and the heat requirement. For this reason, heater cable selection and control systems are configured for the product.
Tank and barrel heating applications systems are electrically powered and usually consist of heating cables wrapped around the outer surface of the tank or barrel. However, there are also special production systems where heating cables are used on the inner surfaces of tanks or barrels.
What are the Benefits of Tank and Barrel Heating Systems?
- They ensure that the raw materials and chemicals to be used in production are not affected by extreme cold weather. In this way, production is advanced by the assembly. In addition, cost savings are achieved by preventing the deterioration of raw materials and chemicals.
- Since the structure of the chemicals affected by the cold will be disturbed, the structure of the produced product will also be negatively affected. With tank and barrel heating applications, there is no disruption during the production phase and there is no decrease in the quality of the product.
Tank and barrel heating applications systems have three main objectives in the form of anti-freezing, temperature retention and condensation prevention.
